First of all, it seems that TV channels will have disappeared in the future . Instead, people will choose a programme from a ‘menu’ and a computer will send the programme directly to the television. Today, we can use the World Wide Web to read newspaper stories and see pictures on a computer thousands of kilometers away. in the future , music, films, programmes, newspapers and books will come to us by computer.

Then, ‘Holographic Feedback TV’ will have arrived: holograms are pictures that have height, width and depth. Simple holograms exist today and ‘virtual reality’ games are already popular. in the future , we will be able to see, smell and touch the things that we see on television.

In what concerns the environment, water will have become one of our most serious problems. In many places, agriculture is changing and they are growing fruit and vegetables to export. This uses a lot of water. Demand for water will increase ten times between now and 2050 and there could be serious shortages. Some futurologists predict that water could be the cause of war if we don’t act now.

In transport, cars will run on new, clean fuels and they will go very fast. Cars will have computers to control the speed of the car and there won’t be any accidents. Today, many cars have computers that tell drivers exactly where they are. in the future , the computer will control the car and drive it to your destination. On the other hand, space planes will take people halfway around the world in two hours. Nowadays, the United States Shuttle can go into space and land on Earth again. in the future , space planes will fly all over the world and people will fly from Los Angels to Tokyo in just two hours.

In the domain of technology, robots will have replaced people in factories. Many factories already use robots. Big companies prefer robots- they do not ask for pay rises or go on strike, and they work 24 hours a day. in the future , we will see robots everywhere- in factories, schools, offices, hospitals, shops and homes.

Lat but not least, medicine technology will have conquered many diseases. Today, there are electronic devices that connect directly to the brain to help people hear. in the future , we will be able to help blind and deaf people see again and hear again. Scientists have discovered how to control genes. They have already produced clones of animals. in the future , scientists will be able to produce clones of people and decide how they look, how they behave and how much intelligence they have. Scientists will be able to do these things - but should they?

Life is always changing. What will life be like in the future? Here are some predictions (预测).
The first prediction is about people. People may live for up to 120 years and keep healthy by using new technology. The number of people over a hundred years old will go from 135,000 today to 2.2 million by 2050.
The second prediction is about money and shopping. Worldwide e-business will become more successful with online shops that sell special products for each person. The products people order will be brought to their houses the next day.
The third prediction is about the environment. The technology for making energy from wind and the sun is developing quickly. In the future wind and sun energy will become much cheaper and more countries will use it. The air in big cities will also become much cleaner as a result.
There are also predictions on society and culture. The Internet will help to create more worldwide friendships. Families may spend more time together as people won’t need to go out to work so much.
The last prediction is about technology itself. The robots (机器人) will do most hard work. People will be able to wear some computers that look like watches. They will give people lots of information about their body and keep them healthy.

In 2050, the use of computers will become more pervasive. Senior high school students will have little homework and all they have to learn is computer programming, because computer programs will do almost anything for people. When people become ill, they don't have to go to hospital because computer will tell them what's the matter with them and tell them what to do with their illness. The computer can even perform operations on patients. When 2050 comes, people will be able to visit Mars. There may even be human settlers there. Because of this, there will be no more traffic conjestinos on the earth.What's more, human beings may have successfully come into contact with beings from other planets.

What will our life be like in the future?Life will probably be very different in 2050 in all fields. We won't need to grow crops any more,for we can take pills only instead of food.In transport, cars will run on new, clean fuels and they will go very fast.And it will only take people two hours to travel by spacecraft around the world.
We can travel to another planet in an object like the UFO.Maybe there will be a lot of cities and people living there.I think it'll be very easy to travel anywhere,not only in our world,but also in space and in the deep sea.
We can invent new kinds of robots,and then we will have less work to do and save more free time to relax.For example,it will become more comfortable at home if robots can help us with the housework.As a result,we can have more time to do what we are interested in.
As you can see,life in the future will be colourful and wonderful.
