天线驻波比的意义表示天馈线与基站(收发信机)匹配程度的指标。
驻波比的定义:
VSWR=Umax/Umin
Umax——馈线上波腹电压;
Umin——馈线上波谷电压。
驻波比的产生,是由于入射波能量传输到天线输入端B未被全部吸收(辐射)、产生反射波,迭加而形成的。
VSWR越大,反射越大,匹配越差。
那么,驻波比差,到底有哪些坏处?在工程上可以接受的驻波比是多少?一个适当的驻波比指标是要在损失能量的数量与制造成本之间进行折中权衡的。
⑴ VSWR>1,说明输进天线的功率有一部分被反射回来,从而降低了天线的辐射功率;
⑵ 增大了馈线的损耗。7/8电缆损耗4dB/100m,是在VSWR=1(全匹配)情况下测的;有了反射功率,就增大了能量损耗,从而降低了馈线向天线的输入功率;
⑶ 在馈线输入端A,失配严重时,发射机T的输出功率达不到设计额定值。但是,现代发射机输出功率允许在一定失配情况下如(VSWR<1.7或2.0)达到额定功率。
驻波比与反射功率的关系如下。  可见,不一定追求1.1以下的驻波比,一般1.5一下也足够了,96%的都发射出去了。
