the police charge someone or charge them with committing a crime. 警方掌握犯罪证据有,正式指控某人犯罪,可以说to charge a person with a crime。指控某人玩忽职守或说谎等,可以说to charge someone with not doing their duty or lying。

  • accuse: to say that sb has done sth wrong or is guilty of sth

He
accused me of lying. They accused him of taking bribes.

  • charge:  an official claim made by the police that sb has committed a crime

Hope it helps. If you have any more questions, just let me know. :)
