距离保护是通过电压和电流之间关系求得阻抗值,这个阻抗值就是保护安装处到线路故障点之间的阻抗值,离保护安装处不同的距离处发生了故障,保护安装处感受到的故障电流电压就会不同,其计算出来的阻抗也就不同,所以这个阻抗值实际上也就等效的反映了故障点与保护安装处之间的距离。
距离保护一般配置为1、2、3段,比如1段一般保护线路的70%范围;你说的“当短路点距保护安装处近时,其测量阻抗小,动作时间短;当短路点距保护安装处远时,其测量阻抗增大,动作时间增长”,这个动作时间对应1、2、3段来讲是这个变化方向,但其实在同一段内,无论故障的远近,其动作时间都是相同的,就像1段一般是瞬时动作,无论在10%距离处还是60%距离处,因为都处于1段范围内,所以在这两个点发生故障时,都是按一段的时间设置瞬时动作。除非在动作范围边缘上,由于其故障量与整定值很接近,灵敏度不够,动作会不干脆,造成时间可能加长或具有一定的离散性。
距离保护1、2、3段由于其整定值不同,其保护范围就不一样,1段范围最小3段最大,而且其整定的时间不同,并且还要与相邻线路保护进行配合(这个就不是一两句能说完呢,呵呵),从而保证保护动作的选择性。
早期的电磁式或晶体管式保护早就淘汰了,现在一般都是微机型保护,类似于黑匣子,只有换板件、芯片或程序,单独的测量元件是否有售就不清楚了
