《Not Today》这首歌是继之前发行的《WINGS》专辑中备受粉丝喜爱的主打歌《血汗泪》之后，再度大玩Moombathon Sound，即Moombathon Stadium Dance Music。如果说《血汗泪》属于Easy Listening系列，那么《Not Today》则是比《FIRE》更强烈、更有力量感、更让人印象深刻的歌曲。既有充满刺激性的Brass Synth Drop，又在Rap部分玩转80-90年代的Euro Dance Bass风，防弹少年团那独特而又日渐成熟的魅力嗓音将通过这首歌完美呈现。既是曲名又在歌词中反复出现的“Not Today”，Idea源于电影《指环王》中的台词“But it is not this day. This day we fight”，Free Chorus 部分的歌词“若不能飞那就跳吧Today we will survive”则是从马丁·路德·金牧师的演讲名句“If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward”中得到的灵感。
