Women Banned From Starbucks in Saudi Arabia
A sign has been installed at the front of a Starbucks location in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia saying women are not allowed in and should “send your driver" to order for you.
The nation´s religious police allegedly made the decision to ban women in the coffee shop after their "gender wall" - the obligatory wall separating genders - had collapsed.
"Starbucks in Saudi Arabia adheres to the local customs by providing separate entrances for families as well as single people. All our stores provide equal amenities, service, menu, and seating to men, women and families," Starbucks said in a statement.
