teachers and parents often remind preschoolers to pay attention to pictures when reading books to them. however, a new research points out reminding kids pay attention to vocabs and letters could train the kids be better readers. that research lasted 2 years, observing and comparing kids who had and hadn't been exposed to such reading method. those who had been discussing books with printed words with their teachers were more skillful in reading ,spelling and comprehension. these results had been shown within 1 to 2 years of implementation. one of the author of the research points out that many mathematic preschool teachers found out the simplicity of this teacher method, and only need few changes to their teaching methods. they have started to read story books in the classroom. the only difference is the books with printed words are being emphasized.
