Personally, I prefer to participate in the performance. Compared with being an audience, being an actress in the show gives me more senses of achievement. Furthermore, I am an outgoing person and I am willing to show myself in public. So performing a theatrical or musical show not only allows me to do what I really want, but also gives me a chance to demonstrate myself.
